Republican Federated Women of the Villages Sign Important Resolution
The Villages— 02/11/2022: Thursday at their regular meeting, the Republican Federated Women of the Villages signed the "Keep Nine" Resolution to maintain the current number of U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
Upon signing the resolution, club President Carol Mangan said, “We believe that the Supreme Court is an important element of our country’s checks and balances that protects our Constitutional rights, and should not be used for political gain.”
This much is stated in the resolution which hopes to prohibit any President or Congress from changing the number of Supreme Court Justices, which is something being considered at this time.
The Republican Federated Women’s club of The Villages is part of the National Republican Federated Women (NFRW), a national independent organization, totally independent of the RNC. It is one of the largest grassroots organizations in the country with thousands of active members across our country.
The Republican Federated Women of The Villages meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Rohan Recreational Center at 10:00 a.m.

The success of our Stocking, Stuffing and Jingle Bells Project was due to a hardworking Armed Services and Americanism Committee and a generous membership.
This is what YOU accomplished:
Stockings: 160 stuffed, very heavy, secured stockings with an added dose of love to fill all the nooks and crannies!
Elf Hats: 13 fully stuffed and as heavy as you can make a hat, filled with fun and good cheer.
Grand total: 173 stockings and Elf hats
We will also be including over 100 hand written cards of good cheer for our Active Duty.

Homeland Security Chair blasts Biden as number of illegal migrants caught by Coast Guard doubles
The Coast Guard interdicted more than 12,000 [illegal] migrants in both fiscal year 2022 and 2023 – more than double the fiscal year 2021 total, according to Coast Guard data.

"...Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee Chairman Daniel Webster, R-Fla., led the hearing this week and pointed out the dangers to the migrants attempting these water voyages as well as the Americans being poisoned by drugs like fentanyl, which has killed tens of thousands of Americans in recent years.
"'The Coast Guard is our nation's premier maritime law enforcement agency and is actively engaged in countering illicit maritime activity," Webster said in his opening remarks at the hearing. "This includes stopping the flow of illegal drugs to our shores, interdicting illegal maritime migration, and protecting the environment through efforts to curb illegal fishing...'"
Rep. Webster Questions Use of Veteran Resources for Illegals

Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, along with Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL), and 22 of his House Republican colleagues, are demanding answers from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) following a media report that resources within the VA’s Financial Services Center are being used to aid illegal immigrants.
According to the report, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is working with the VA’s Financial Services Center to process medical claims that are being submitted by private medical providers representing illegal immigrants in ICE custody.
Especially given the long wait times Veterans are experiencing for medical care and disability benefits, this is extremely troubling and unacceptable. Under the Trump Administration, the VA disability claims backlog was consistently under 100,000 claims. However, as of December 2, 2023, that number has tripled to 318,221. Recognizing the failures of the Biden Administration at serving America’s veterans, the VA should be devoting the entirety of its time to those who have risked their lives to protect our country rather than the overwhelming number of migrants entering our country illegally.
“Congress appropriates funds to the VA in order to provide services to our veterans, not illegal immigrants,” the members wrote. “Our veterans served our country, and it is high time that our government start serving them. With this in mind, please provide answers to the following questions by December 27, 2023.”
- How many claims has the VA Financial Services Center processed for ICE on a monthly basis since January 2021?
- Are claims submitted for care provided to VA beneficiaries processed before any other claims serviced by the VA?
- How many hours have VA personnel spent processing medical claims on behalf of ICE?
- Is the VA providing any other services to federal agencies involving illegal immigrants?”
